How do I set a due date for my programs?

Gnowbe allows Admins/Agents to set a program due date for their learners. This feature is available only at the group level and enables Admins/Agents to specify the date and time by which learners should complete their program. If a due date is set, the program will display a reminder for the upcoming due date to learners.

Note: The program will still be accessible to learners even after the due date has passed. To prevent learners from accessing the program after the due date, you will need to also set a program expiry date.

 

What do programs with a due date look like for learners?

When there is an upcoming due date, learners will see the reminder icons displayed in green (and the exact due date when they mouseover) in the following places:

  • Program card on the home page

If the due date has passed, learners will see the reminder icons (and the exact due date when they mouseover) displayed in red in the following places:

Note: If there is less than 1 day until the due date, the program will display the number of hours remaining inside the program. Similarly, if the due date has passed by less than 1 day, the program will display how many hours ago the due date/time was.


How to set a program due date
Ensure the program for which you wish to set a due date has already been shared with the group.

  1. Log into Gnowbe Dashboard and click Groups.

  2. Select the group where the program you wish to set a due date for is shared in.

  3. Click Programs.

  4. Select the program and click Actions.

  5. Click Edit.

  6. A sidebar will appear for you to set your program due date/time.

  7. Once done, click Save.

  8. You can check for a program's due date on the Programs page. Repeat the above steps to change the program's due date.

Best Practice

You can set both a due date and a program expiry date for your program simultaneously to make it inaccessible once the due date has passed.
