Now that your workspace is customized and your user groups are set up, it’s time to focus on your content! While your Creators will do the heavy lifting to build the courses, as an Admin, you play a crucial role in overseeing this phase.
Let’s look at how to manage the program creation process from a high level.
Note: Creators will go through a separate onboarding series to learn about their Creator environment and how to build Gnowbe programs. Check it out here!
Pre-Creation: Creator Alignment
It can be tempting to hand your Curators a massive training manual and simply say, "Turn this into a Gnowbe program." However, without strategic direction, even the best content can miss the mark.
Before any building begins, sit down with your Creators and revisit the organizational goals you established at the start.
-
Connect the Dots: If your overarching goal is to reduce customer support ticket resolution time, ensure your Curators know that the microlearning content needs to be highly actionable, scenario-driven, and built to shift real-world habits rather than just sharing information.
- Establish an Alignment Workflow: Create a simple process where Creators share a storyboard or rough outline of their curriculum with you before they start building. Setting up this initial review—and scheduling brief check-ins along the way—ensures everyone stays aligned on the learning objectives from day one!
In-Development: Program Creation
Once the strategy is clear, your Creators will jump into the platform to build out the content. Your job during this phase is to regularly review their progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide them as they iterate on their program.
Post-Creation: Approval Workflow & Quality Checks
Before a program is officially published, it needs a test drive. Work with your team to establish a final review process and a standard Quality Assurance (QA) checklist to ensure a flawless learner experience on launch day.
A standard QA checklist should review:
- 🎨 Visual Appeal: Does the cover image look professional? Is the program description compelling?
- ✍️ Grammar & Copy: Are there any typos, spelling errors, or awkward sentences?
- 📑 Formatting & Scannability: Is heavy text properly broken up with bullet points and line breaks?
- ⚡ Interactivity: Are there enough polls, reflections, or quizzes to keep the learner engaged?
- 🔗 Functionality: Do all the video links work? Are there any broken external resources?
- 🎯 Accuracy: Are the quiz answers correct? Are the explanations helpful?
- 📱 Mobile Experience: Have we previewed the program on a mobile device to ensure the text isn't too cramped and the images are easy to read?
By aligning your creators with your overall goals and putting a strong QA process in place, you guarantee that every program you deploy is polished, impactful, and ready for your learners!
