Why do I need to transfer my program's ownership to the workspace?
Some creators build programs that won't be sold in their own workspace but in someone else’s. Transferring ownership is a formal act of confirmation by the creator, confirming that the workspace holds the rights to the content and has the authority to sell it on GnowbeShop.
What is the difference between 'Owner' and 'Creator'?
The Owner and Creator are usually the same person, unless you hire an external developer to build programs for you.
- Creator: The person who actually builds and designs the program inside Gnowbe.
- Owner: The individual or organization that holds the rights to the content and sells it.
For example, if Organization A hires an outside freelancer (User X) to build their program, User X is the Creator, but Organization A is the Owner. User X will need to transfer ownership to Organization A to confirm that their workspace holds the rights to the content and has the authority to sell it on GnowbeShop.
If you are building a program for your own organization, you are both the Owner and the Creator of that program.
Who owns the program I create?
If you own the IP and it's your Gnowbe program, you own the content.
Do others have the right to sell my course? Does Gnowbe have the right to sell my programs to others?
No. GnowbeShop is an e-commerce engine managed by the person who has access to it. Others cannot sell your GnowbeShop content. If you choose to sell it on GnowbeLearn, then it's sold by Gnowbe and Gnowbe's resellers.
When users purchase a course from me, will they receive an invoice and an email to access the program immediately?
Yes. Users will receive an invoice from Stripe and a separate confirmation email to access the program.

Do GnowbeShop groups and users count towards my plan's group/user limit?
- For groups, no. The automatically generated #public groups do not count against your plan’s group limits.
- For users, it's a little different.
- All registered workspace users—whether invited manually or through GnowbeShop—count toward your subscription’s usage limit.
- You can invite learners manually and sell on GnowbeShop at the same time, with users flowing in through both channels.
- However, once your usage limit is reached, manual invitations will be restricted. GnowbeShop buyers can still purchase and access your programs, even if doing so brings your workspace headcount above your plan's allocation.
Is there a transaction fee for every GnowbeShop sale I make?
Yes, transaction fees depend directly on your Gnowbe subscription plan:
-
Pro Plan: A 5% transaction fee is applied to each sale.
This means you keep 95% of your earnings. For example, if you price your program at $100, you will keep $95, and the remaining $5 goes toward the transaction processing fee via Stripe.
Enterprise Plan: There is no transaction fee on your sales.
