Gnowbe allows curators to upload and convert PowerPoint presentations into a Gnowbe program on both Gnowbe Web and Gnowbe App!
How it works
A Powerpoint presentation will be imported into Gnowbe as a single session, with each presentation slide being converted into an image action.
Curators can then edit the program as per usual.
You can also import multiple presentations into a single program. Curators will need to upload their presentations one at a time, and Gnowbe will convert each presentation into different sessions in the same program.
Note
- Only the .pptx file type is accepted.
- The ability to play convert PowerPoint files is available to all users. Feel free to create your free Gnowbe account at web.gnowbe.com to try this feature out!
How to upload on Gnowbe Web
There are two ways for curators to import their PowerPoint presentations into Gnowbe, either into a new or existing program.
Importing .pptx files via a new program from the home page:
- Click +Create a program
- Select Import PowerPoint
.
- Fill in your program title and click Create Program.
- At the bottom of your session drawer, click More and then Import PowerPoint (.pptx) to upload your presentation.
- Give Gnowbe some time to convert your presentation. The bigger the file size, the longer it will take.
- Once converted, your presentation will be displayed as a new session in your program. You can proceed to edit the program as per usual.
If your slide has a GIF, it will be converted as a GIF in an image action.-
-
Conditions for this to happen:
-
-
-
a single gif on the slide, or
-
a single gif on the slide with some text
-
-
-
-
This does NOT work if there are:
-
-
-
multiple gifs on the same slide, or
-
a gif and other jpg/png files on the same slide
-
-
-
-
-
- Repeat the process to upload more .pptx files into your program.
Importing .pptx files into an existing program:
- Access your program, go into edit mode, click More, and then Import PowerPoint (.pptx) at the bottom of your session drawer to upload your presentation.
- Give Gnowbe some time to convert your presentation. The bigger the file size, the longer it will take.
- Once done, your presentation will be converted and displayed as a new session in your program.
