Curators will need to add the Certificate of Completion action to their program for learners to receive a certificate upon graduation.
Click here to learn how to add actions to a program.
To keep the experience coherent and logical for the learners, you should add the certificate action towards the end of your program (although you may choose to add some actions after the certificate such - such as summary, conclusion, feedback, etc.).
Changing certificate criteria
Learners will need to meet certain criteria in their programs before collecting their certificates. Curators can set these criteria on Gnowbe Web.
- For programs without assessments, learners will need to meet ONLY the program's minimum completion rate to receive their certificate.
- For programs with scored assessments, learners will need to meet BOTH the program's minimum completion rate and assessment passing grade to receive their certificate.
How to set the minimum completion rate
- Log into Gnowbe Web, access the program, and click Edit.
- Click Go to Program Settings on the left sidebar.
- Scroll down and expand the Certificate tab.
- Input a number next to the Issue Certificate At field to set the minimum completion rate for your program.
- This represents the lowest completion % a learner must attain to receive their certificate. If set to 0%, there will be no minimum threshold.
- The default setting is 80%.
How to set the assessment passing grade
- Log into Gnowbe Web, access the program, and click Edit.
- Click Go to Program Settings on the left sidebar.
- Expand the Assessment (Basic) tab.
- Input a number next to the Passing grade field to set the assessment passing grade for your program.
- This represents the lowest % of assessment questions a learner must answer correctly before they can receive their certificate.
- If set to 0%, there will be no minimum threshold.
Upon meeting the necessary criteria, learners can download their certificate as a PDF or add the certificate to their LinkedIn profile.
